Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to join our team. The role is hands-on and focuses on building, optimizing, and supporting scalable big data solutions using modern data engineering technologies and cloud platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, implement, and support scalable and high-performance data engineering solutions

- Write, test, and optimize production-grade code

- Work closely with Tech Leads, product owners, architects, and analysts

- Build and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines

- Troubleshoot and resolve development and production issues

- Provide technical support and recommend improvements to existing systems

- Advocate engineering best practices and agile principles

- Contribute actively as a squad member in an Agile/Scaled Agile environment

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 2–4 years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering roles

- Strong experience with Python and PySpark

- Hands-on experience with Big Data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop

- Experience with AWS Big Data services including S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift, RDS, Kinesis

- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server

- Strong SQL skills, including complex query writing

- Experience with source control tools such as GitHub or Azure DevOps

- Good verbal and written communication skills

Good to Have

- Experience with CDC tools such as Debezium

- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and BI tools

- Experience in data modeling

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and workflow orchestration

- Experience working in Agile, CI/CD, and Continuous Delivery environments
