To be successful as a Senior Data Engineer, you should have experience with:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines using Ab Initio and SQL

• Build scalable batch and/or streaming data processing solutions

• Develop and tune complex SQL and PLSQL queries, procedures, and packages

• Perform data ingestion, transformation, validation, and reconciliation

• Design and implement data pipeline frameworks and reusable components

• Leverage Salesforce & AWS services for cloud-based data solutions

• Ensure data quality, performance, scalability, and security best practices

• Collaborate with business analysts, data architect, and downstream consumers

• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis

• Mentor junior data engineers and review code/designs

• Contribute to data design & data discussions on solutions

Technical Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio ETL

• Advanced knowledge of SQL and PLSQL

• Proficiency in Shell Scripting (Unix/Linux)

• Experience as a Data Pipeline Designer

• Experience with large-scale data warehousing and data lakes

• Understanding of data modeling, metadata, and data governance concepts

The role is based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.

Accountabilities

• Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
• Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
• Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
• Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.
