Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer/Analyst with strong experience in building healthcare data pipelines, developing BI dashboards, and supporting analytics for a telemedicine and healthcare client. This contract position combines data engineering, analytics, and reporting responsibilities, focusing on HIPAA-compliant healthcare data. The ideal candidate will have experience with ETL workflows, SQL-based data warehouses, Power BI dashboards, and healthcare/telemedicine data structures.

Key ResponsibilitiesData Engineering

• Pipeline Development: Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for healthcare and telemedicine data.
• Data Integration: Connect multiple data sources including EMRs, telemedicine platforms, APIs, and cloud databases.
• Data Modeling: Implement and maintain normalized and denormalized data models optimized for analytics.
• Data Quality: Establish processes for data validation, integrity checks, and error handling.
• Automation: Develop automated workflows for scheduled data ingestion and transformation.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Power BI Dashboards: Build, publish, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports for healthcare stakeholders.
• Analytics: Provide insights into telemedicine operations, patient engagement, clinical performance, and financial metrics.
• Stakeholder Support: Work closely with clinicians, operations teams, and executives to define reporting requirements.
• KPI Development: Design healthcare-specific KPIs (e.g., appointment utilization, patient adherence, outcome tracking).

Compliance & Governance

• HIPAA Compliance: Ensure all data workflows meet HIPAA and healthcare data security standards.
• Documentation: Maintain technical documentation of pipelines, data models, and dashboards.
• Audit Support: Provide data lineage and audit trail documentation for compliance purposes.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or BI Engineer, ideally in healthcare or telemedicine.
• ETL Tools: Proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory, dbt, Airflow).
• BI Tools: Advanced expertise with Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling).
• Healthcare Data: Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, telemedicine platforms, HL7, FHIR, or healthcare claims data.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP data services.
• Compliance: Strong knowledge of HIPAA and data security best practices.
• Communication: Excellent English communication skills for collaboration with US-based clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Location: Based in Pakistan or Middle East region
• Data Warehousing: Experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or Azure Synapse
• API Integration: Hands-on experience integrating healthcare APIs
• Certifications: Microsoft Power BI, Azure Data Engineer, or healthcare IT certifications
• Agile/Scrum: Comfortable working in Agile development cycles

Contract Details

• Contract Type: 3-month renewable contracts based on performance evaluation
• Compensation: $25,000 – $30,000 USD per contract period (annually renewable)
• Performance Reviews: Regular performance assessments for contract renewal consideration
• Remote Work: Full remote position with stable internet connection required
• Client Location: Healthcare & telemedicine client based in Atlanta, GA
