About the Role

TeReSol Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Database Design Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and migration of enterprise-level database systems, including the STIMA database migration project. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in database design, architecture, administration, and performance tuning, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance database operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and maintain database systems aligned with business and application requirements
• Lead end-to-end database migration projects (including STIMA migration) with minimal downtime
• Optimize database performance using indexing, partitioning, and query tuning techniques
• Ensure high availability, backup management, disaster recovery, and compliance with security standards
• Collaborate with software, data, and infrastructure teams for seamless system integration
• Monitor database health, diagnose performance issues, and implement proactive solutions
• Prepare technical documentation and provide support to development teams

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, or Oracle
• Expertise in database migration tools, strategies, and best practices
• Working experience with STIMA or similar platforms (migration/maintenance)
• Proficiency in query optimization, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with cloud-based database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL)
• In-depth understanding of data security, backup strategies, and disaster recovery
• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale database migration or modernization projects
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra
• Familiarity with DevOps/CI/CD practices for database operations
• Exposure to data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and BI systems
