About the Role
We are seeking a
Senior Design for Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
to join our team in Tawazun Industrial Park, Abu Dhabi.
In this role, you will participate in the design, development, qualification, and production optimization processes â ensuring product functionality, manufacturability, assembly, testability, and automation across high-reliability applications in the
aerospace and defense
sectors.
Key Responsibilities
-
Design
PCBs and PCBAs
that integrate seamlessly with mechanical systems, electrical harnesses, and electronic modules, ensuring compliance with
IPC Class 3
standards.

Develop
PCB layouts
optimized for automated manufacturing â supporting both low-volume prototyping and high-volume production.

Ensure compatibility with
Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
,
Through-Hole Technology (THT)
, and automated assembly lines.
-
Engage in the entire
product development lifecycle
â from concept and schematic design to layout, prototyping, validation, qualification, and industrialization.
-
Conduct
FMEA
for PCB designs to identify and mitigate potential failure points.
-
Perform
Signal Integrity (SI)
and
Power Integrity (PI)
simulations using tools such as
HyperLynx, Altium Designer, or Cadence Sigrity
.

Analyze thermal performance and mechanical stress using
ANSYS
or
Mentor Graphics FloTHERM
to ensure environmental robustness.
-
Ensure PCBA designs enable efficient
AOI, X-ray inspection, and functional testing
, with test strategies that maximize coverage.
-
Ensure compliance with
IPC Class 3
,
EMI/EMC
guidelines, and relevant standards such as
MIL-STD-461
.

Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and PCBA production engineers to ensure manufacturability and seamless integration.

Review design and production data (e.g., Gerber files, BOMs) to identify quality improvements and support
root cause analysis
for production issues.
Main Requirements
-
5+ years
of experience in
Design for Manufacturing Engineering
, preferably within the
automotive, defense, or aerospace
industries.

Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree
in
Electrical Design Engineering
or
PCB Manufacturing Engineering
.
Ideal Candidate Profile
-
Strong
analytical thinking
and problem-solving abilities.

Comprehensive understanding of
SMT
,
THT
,
wave soldering
,
reflow processes
, and
PCB panelization
.

Familiarity with
PCB base materials
(FR4, polyimide, ceramic) and surface finishes (ENIG, HASL, OSP).
-
Knowledge of
conformal coating
processes for high-reliability environments.
-
Deep understanding of
IPC Class 3
and related standards (
IPC-6012
,
IPC-610
).
