Senior Designer - Graphic
Reporting to the Graphic Design Manager, the Senior Graphic Designer sets the standard in creating industry leading apparel and headwear graphics that are on brief, on trend, on time, and embody '47 brand DNA. This role supports the ’47 Brand Product Creation team while ensuring alignment with New Era Brand objectives. Additionally, the Senior Graphic Designer actively supports the '47 brand culture.
PRODUCT/MARKET
- Maintain a strong understanding of relevant market apparel, headwear, graphics style trends.
- Create and produce new apparel/headwear/graphic designs that align to larger '47 Brand product creative direction with minimal direction and supervision.
- Develop from concept brief to production handoff product designs that meet creative brief criteria with little to no supervision.
CRAFT/MANUFACTURING
- Well versed in relevant apparel, headwear, and apparel graphic manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Expert in all relevant design software (Adobe CC – Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Senior level expertise in one or more of the following disciplines: illustration, photo illustration, airbrushing, graphic layout, font design, typography, collage.
ORGANIZATION/PROCESS
- Fluid understanding of cross-functional workflow processes as they relate to the creation and production of apparel and headwear products.
- Responsible for leveraging New Era to advance ’47 Brand processes and products where possible.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Able to self-manage design projects from concept through to production.
- Able to work on projects independently or with a team of designers.
- Able to juggle multiple deadlines/projects at once.
PEOPLE/LEADERSHIP
- No direct reports.
- Acts as role model and mentor for younger Design team members.
- Share organization and industry knowledge with younger/less experienced Design team members.
- Strong working relationship with cross functional partners.
COMMUNICATION/INFLUENCE
- Able to effectively present work with confidence, complete with inspiration, market and consumer insight, and awareness of commercialization challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 8 Years of relevant experience
