About the Role

We are seeking a DevOps / Platform Engineer whose primary goal is to be a force multiplier for our product and engineering teams. This role is not just about maintaining infrastructure; it's about supercharging our development lifecycle by focusing on developer experience, ease of deployment, and overall platform hygiene. You will be the champion for our internal development platform, maturing our existing systems (GitHub Actions, Terraform) and leading the charge in adopting modern tooling (e.g. CircleCI, Pulumi).

Key Responsibilities

• Elevate our developer experience by creating and refining frictionless CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI) that enable easy, frequent, and safe deployments.
• Champion platform hygiene and automation through best-in-class Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform and/or Pulumi
• Engineer a scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, providing a robust foundation for our products with a focus on App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and complex VPC configurations
• Ensure platform reliability and enable proactive issue resolution by implementing sophisticated observability solutions with Azure Monitor and Azure Sentinel
• Automate operational tasks and workflows using Bash and a programming language like Python or TypeScript
• Act as a key partner to engineering teams, deeply understanding their workflows to remove friction and boost productivity
• Enforce and improve Git best practices to ensure a clean and efficient version control history

Requirements

• Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, specifically with App Service, AKS, and VPC networking
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Pulumi and/or Terraform
• Demonstrated experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
• Expertise in Bash scripting
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or TypeScript
• Experience with observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Azure Sentinel)
• A deep understanding of Git workflows and best practices

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Databricks Asset Bundles.
• Knowledge of GitOps principles and tools.
• Familiarity with FinOps for cloud cost management.
