Additional Responsibilities
Deployment and Infrastructure Management
- Develop, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure to support software systems, applying DevOps methodologies and using a variety of tools and technologies.
- Create, manage, and optimize continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for deploying applications.
- Automate and manage the infrastructure in AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Ensure that the infrastructure aligns with the clients requirements for scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
- Stay up to date on relevant technologies, understand trends and opportunities to ensure we are using the best possible techniques and tools.
- Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration services like Kubernetes to automate the deployment and scaling of applications.
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors and provide solutions to prevent recurrence.

- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of the project.
- Participate in project meetings and discussions to capture key decisions, action items, and project progress, and translate these into relevant documentation.

Job Specification
Knowledge
- CI/CD pipeline running on GitHub, Gitlab, AWS Developer Tools, Azure DevOps or similar services.
- Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration
- Proficient in working with cloud providers, including AWS and GCP, with a strong understanding of their compute, storage, networking, and security services.
- Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform
- Experience with progressive delivery strategies (e.g., blue-green, canary deployments)
- Familiarity with modern architecture patterns such as serverless, microservices, event-driven architecture, containerized applications, and service mesh, along with their integration into DevOps workflows.
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration, including shell scripting, process management, file systems, and permissions.
- Hands-on experience in infrastructure and application migration projects, including cloud migrations, on-prem to cloud transitions, and legacy system modernization.
