Job Overview
The Senior Director - Commercial for Transport DMO at Qiddiya Investment Company is responsible for leading the commercial management and strategic procurement functions within the Transport DMO. This role ensures effective commercial oversight, contract administration, and procurement strategies that align with the organization's objectives to deliver transport infrastructure projects successfully.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of commercial strategies related to transport projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and governance frameworks.

Manage contract administration activities, including negotiation, execution, change management, claims, and close-out processes.

Oversee procurement activities, ensuring competitive sourcing, value for money, and compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations.

Drive cost management and budgeting processes to support project delivery within approved financial parameters.

Collaborate with project delivery, finance, legal, and risk teams to mitigate commercial risks and resolve issues promptly.

Develop and maintain commercial frameworks, policies, procedures, and templates tailored to transport projects.

Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to commercial and procurement teams to enhance performance and capability.

Ensure robust reporting and governance through regular updates to senior management and executive stakeholders.

Engage with external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and regulators, to maintain strong commercial relationships.

Identify and implement continuous improvements in commercial processes and practices.
Requirements
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Transport Management, or related field.

Postgraduate qualifications (Masters or MBA) preferred.
Experience and Skills

15+ years of progressive experience in commercial leadership roles within transport infrastructure or related sectors.

Strong expertise in contract administration, procurement strategy, and commercial risk management.

Proven track record managing complex transport projects, preferably within large infrastructure or governmental organizations.

Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
