Senior Discipline Engineer - Piping Layout

Archirodon has been awarded a major Oil & Gas EPC project in UAE, and is currently building a team of experienced Lead Engineers, who will be based in our UAE office and lead the multidiscipline Engineering of the project.

Project includes the detailed engineering and design, quality assurance and control, procurement/supply, interface management, construction/installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning/start-up of Hydrocarbon & non-Hydrocarbon systems and management including all works required for the job completion. The main objective of this brownfield project is to increase the production handling capacity by adding a new Production Train and associated facilities at an existing Central Degassing Station and a new gas lift compressor train at another existing Central Degassing Station.

Role Summary:

The Senior Piping Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, layout, and development of piping systems for process plants, ensuring all designs meet project requirements, technical specifications, and industry standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.). The role requires close collaboration with other engineering disciplines and project teams throughout the project lifecycle — from concept and detailed design to fabrication, installation, and commissioning.

• Develop piping layouts and routing plans for process systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards (ASME, API, etc.).

• Prepare isometric drawings, plan views, and 3D models for piping systems using CAD/PDS/PDMS or similar software.

• Ensure proper connectivity, accessibility, and support for all piping routes.

• Collaborate with process, mechanical, civil, and instrumentation teams for equipment-piping interface coordination.

• Review vendor drawings, material specifications, and installation plans related to piping.

• Conduct piping layout reviews and clash detection to resolve design conflicts before fabrication.

• Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning to ensure layouts are followed accurately.

What you will need to have:

• BE or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• Technical competence in basic & detailed engineering with strong technical background, and advanced analytical skills in basic and detailed engineering design from project feasibility stage to plant commissioning and startup
• Previous exposure to international environment
• Experience using relevant commercial software applicable to Oil & Gas projects
• In depth knowledge of international codes & standards, international design guidelines & recommendations
• Experience in Environmental regulatory requirements (local, international), review and understanding of local Environmental Laws would be a definite advantage
• Excellent command (written and oral) of the English language
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
