Senior Drilling and Well Control Training Specialist

Senior Drilling and Well Control Training Specialist oversees the development, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of drilling and well control training for Noble, across both simulated and physical environments. Delivers training courses directly and ensures quality assurance for domestic and international training partners delivering Noble’s programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Drilling and well control operational experience required.
  • Experience in drilling and well control training delivery strongly preferred.
  • Experience in training course design and development, including course materials development.
  • Experience with Drilling Systems simulators and other equipment simulators.
  • Experience with Project and people management for managing course development, campaign trainings, and vendor delivery team management.
  • Ability to provide group learning facilitation for Noble business units
  • IADC WellSharp instructor certification preferred.
  • Computer literacy required, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Travel is an essential job function (up to 30% domestic, international, & offshore).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Lead the development, delivery and maintenance of drilling and well control courses in both simulator and classroom environments.
  • Develop and deliver Managed Pressure Drilling training courses.
  • Coordinate training course delivery and provide quality assurance for technical training courses delivered by training provider partners.
  • Engage with Operations to incorporate industry events and company lessons learned into training course content and simulations.
  • Manage course resource requirements in the planning, preparation and delivery of training courses.
  • Interface with regulatory bodies to obtain course accreditation.
  • Support operations and training in well control and other training audits.
  • Recommend, evaluate, and implement instructional/learning and curriculum improvements.
  • Support simulator facility and environment, including software upgrades and hardware troubleshooting (with vendors).
  • Provide expertise in drilling and well control competency development for the competency program and driller development programs.
  • Other duties/projects as required.
