Senior Duty medical officer - Female

India

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide round-the-clock medical supervision and patient care in inpatient and outpatient departments.
  • Assist the Chairman (Diabetologist) in managing clinical cases, especially related to diabetes and associated conditions.
  • Monitor patient progress, review treatment plans, and escalate cases to specialists when required.
  • Supervise Duty Medical Officers, Nurses, and Paramedical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Attend emergency cases promptly and coordinate with consultants for timely interventions.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, hospital policies, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, progress notes, and ensure proper handover during shift changes.
  • Support the Chairman in research activities, clinical audits, and patient awareness programs.
  • Liaise with laboratory, pharmacy, and diagnostic departments for smooth patient management.
  • Train and mentor junior doctors and medical staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MBBS with valid registration from Medical Council of India/State Medical Council.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of clinical experience, preferably with exposure to diabetology or internal medicine.
  • Prior experience in supervising medical staff and handling emergencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
