Senior Electrical BIM Modeler

Job Summary

Switzel International is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical BIM Modeler to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing high-quality Electrical BIM models for large-scale construction projects, ensuring full compliance with project standards, BIM requirements, and industry best practices.

Candidates who are available for immediate joining will be given priority.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed Electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit
• Prepare electrical shop drawings, layouts, and coordinated models in line with project requirements
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, and MEP teams to resolve clashes and design issues
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and support resolution processes
• Ensure compliance with BIM LOD 400–500, project standards, and client requirements
• Generate accurate BOQs / quantity take-offs from BIM models
• Review and update models based on design changes and site feedback
• Maintain proper BIM documentation, model versions, and drawing logs
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior BIM modelers as required

Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• 4 to 10 years of proven experience as an Electrical BIM Modeler
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
• Solid understanding of Electrical systems (power, lighting, ELV, low current systems, etc.)
• Experience in preparing shop drawings and construction-stage BIM models
• Knowledge of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and coordination workflows
• Familiarity with international standards and local authority requirements is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Team-oriented with strong communication and coordination skills
• Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods are highly preferred
