Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer (ADM Approved)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer who can independently handle design, estimation, tender pricing, and full project execution for construction and fit-out projects.

The candidate must be an ADM (Abu Dhabi Municipality) approved / licensed engineer and capable of leading electrical works from concept to handover.

Key Responsibilities1. Design & Engineering

• Prepare complete electrical designs including:
• Load calculations
• Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
• Lighting & power layouts
• Earthing & lightning protection systems
• Ensure compliance with:
• ADM regulations
• ADDC requirements
• UAE Electrical Codes & standards
• Review and approve shop drawings and as-built drawings

2. Estimation & Tendering

• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications
• Prepare detailed BOQs and cost estimates
• Perform material take-offs and pricing
• Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Prepare competitive tender submissions with value engineering proposals

3. Procurement Support

• Identify and evaluate electrical materials and suppliers
• Ensure materials comply with project specifications and authority approvals
• Support procurement team in technical comparisons

4. Project Execution & Site Management

• Lead electrical works execution on site
• Coordinate with:
• Project Managers
• Consultants
• Main contractors
• Authorities (ADDC / ADM)
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications
• Manage testing, commissioning, and authority inspections

5. Authority Approvals (Critical Requirement)

• Handle submissions and approvals with:
• ADM (Abu Dhabi Municipality)
• ADDC (Abu Dhabi Distribution Company) / TAQA
• Ensure all electrical designs and installations meet authority standards
• Attend inspections and secure final approvals

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and review:
• Material submittals (MIR)
• Shop drawings
• Method statements
• RFIs
• Maintain proper logs and documentation for approvals

7. Cost Control & Variations

• Monitor project costs and identify savings opportunities
• Prepare and evaluate variation orders (VOs)
• Support commercial team in claims and cost tracking

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Mandatory: ADM Approved / Licensed Electrical Engineer
• 7–12+ years of experience in UAE construction / fit-out projects

Skills

• Strong design and technical knowledge
• Excellent estimation and tendering skills
• Deep understanding of UAE authority regulations (ADM / ADDC)
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Dialux, ETAP or similar software
• Strong leadership and site coordination abilities

Preferred Experience

• Experience in high-end fit-out, commercial, or industrial projects
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and variation procedures
• Experience handling authority inspections independently
