Job Summary

The Senior Electrician is responsible for supervising electrical maintenance activities, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, guiding junior electricians, and ensuring uninterrupted electrical support to production operations in the steel factory.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise electrical maintenance teams during routine and breakdown tasks.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of motors, MCC panels, PLC panels, and electrical circuits.
• Ensure proper installation, commissioning, and testing of new electrical equipment.
• schedule and perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
• Maintain technical documentation, maintenance logs, and breakdown analysis reports.
• Train and guide electricians in safety practices and proper maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate with production, mechanical, and automation teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, lockout–tagout procedures, and plant standards.

Requirements

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical or related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years experience in heavy industry, steel plants, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage/low-voltage systems, MCCs, motors, and industrial panels.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, control circuits, and schematics.
• Leadership ability to supervise teams and manage maintenance tasks effectively.
• Willingness to work shifts, emergencies, and during peak production demands.
