Senior Electromechanical Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electromechanical Engineer to join our project team in Bahrain, specializing in public works and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in MEP systems design, supervision, and coordination, with proven experience in large-scale government or public utility projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the design, review, and implementation of electromechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and electrical systems).

Coordinate with architectural, structural, and civil teams to ensure system integration.

Supervise MEP contractors and ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and quality standards.

Review shop drawings, materials submittals, and method statements.

Lead site inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.

Manage project timelines and resolve technical issues on-site.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and governmental authorities as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s is a plus).

Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in the Gulf region.

Strong background in public works/infrastructure projects is mandatory.

Excellent knowledge of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, etc.).

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant design tools.

Strong leadership, communication, and project coordination skills.

Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working with government entities or municipalities.

PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.

Valid engineering registration or license in Bahrain or a GCC country is an advantage.
