Senior Engineer

Job Description

Maintenance Senior engineers undertake scheduled and breakdown maintenance of engineering equipment or plants. Maintenance engineers work involves checking, repairing and servicing machinery, equipment, systems and infrastructures.

Hospital Maintenance Engineer Is Responsible For

• Maintaining the extensive heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems in hospital.
• To operate the equipment like boilers, incinerator, laundry equipment, Lift, dumbwaiters, air-conditioning equipment, diesel engines, turbines, pumps, condensers, generators, and compressors.
• To start up, regulate, shut down, or repair these equipment.
• To operate equipment manually, make adjustments, and regularly check safety devices.
• It is their responsibility to ensure that all of these systems are operating not just correctly, but also efficiently and safely.
• Routine maintenance is part of the job, such as replacing filters, lubricating moving parts, and checking air quality of the ventilation systems.
• Responsible for masonary works, paint, metal work, welding, plumbing , electrical, carpentry repairs to walls, roofs, windows, or ceilings.
• Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance(Planned Preventive Maintenance)
• Responding To Breakdowns, diagnosing faults & repairing equipment on urgent basis
• Supervising engineering and technical staff
• Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings through coordinating with Supply Chain department
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
• Assists manager/supervisor in creating maintenance procedures
• Managing stocks of supplies and equipment.
• Responsible to manage complains and quality of their execution by satisfying the customers.
• Responsible to implement the HSE policies and PPEs.
• Responsible to develop BOQ for new works in the facility and execution of projects.
• Assists in the assessment or improvement studies to enhance equipment or system efficiency, reduce energy cost/usage and other cost saving/avoidance projects.
• Performs other related duties as required.
