About the Role

We are looking for a Refractory Maintenance Senior Engineer to lead maintenance strategies for refractory systems in heavy industrial equipment. The role focuses on improving equipment availability and productivity through innovative methodologies, preventive maintenance planning, and advanced failure analysis, while ensuring safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inspection and preventive maintenance plans for refractory systems.
• Prepare and manage Scope of Work for shutdowns, material procurement, and specialized contracts.
• Conduct refractory failure analysis and define shutdown activities.
• Monitor equipment performance, analyze KPIs, and implement reliability improvements.
• Manage contracts, evaluate technical proposals, and ensure availability of spare parts.
• Lead cost control initiatives and support annual budget planning.
• Provide technical guidance, mentor junior staff, and drive skill development within the team.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, codes of ethics, and operational procedures.
• Introduce new technologies and update maintenance strategies to improve lifecycle performance.

Qualifications

• 8–11 years of experience in refractory maintenance (kiln/traveling grate).
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Maintenance Engineering (Metallurgy preferred).
• Master’s degree desirable.
• Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
