Senior Engineer, OR& A - I&C

We are hiring for a Senior Operations Readiness and Assurance (Instrumentation & Control) to be based in Abu Dhabi with oil and gas experience to support I&C systems during project execution, commissioning, and handover. The role ensures control systems, instrumentation, and safety systems are fully compliant, functional, and ready for safe and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead OR&A activities for I&C systems across project phases.
• Review I&C engineering deliverables (P&IDs, Cause & Effect, Control Philosophy, SIL studies, F&G systems, DCS/ESD/PLC documentation).
• Ensure operability, maintainability, and compliance with project and industry standards.
• Support FAT, SAT, loop checks, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and readiness reviews.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Commissioning, and Operations teams for smooth handover.
• Verify documentation, training, spares, and maintenance strategies prior to start-up.
  
  

Qualification Required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering is mandatory
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the similar role.
• Strong knowledge of DCS, ESD, PLC, SCADA, and field instrumentation.
• Experience in commissioning, start-up, and operational risk management.
• Familiarity with IEC, ISA, API, and relevant international standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
