What ACES is Looking For?

ACES is looking for a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team on Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Job Summary:

Supports the Department/Section Manager in planning, controlling and organizing the department activities. Coordinate and review testing activities and ensure they are performed according to required specifications and as per standard test methods/ operating procedures. Prepare testing and projects progress reports, and lead the team under direct supervision and motivate them to maintain team efficiency

.Duties and Responsibilities:

Managerial Duties:

  • Implement Section’s policies, goals, objectives, and procedures and support in their development as needed.
  • Oversee the implementation of operations plans, policies, procedures, and transition/migration plans.
  • Support Department Manager in management of resources, cost control and budgeting.

Technical Duties:

  • Customize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications and manipulate data.
  • Evaluate environmental impact assessment projects and conduct environmental site assessment.
  • Write technical reports, fill invoices and specify dates of delivery.
  • Provide environmental technical backup to the technician.
  • Communicate with client regarding mobilization and project execution and reporting.
  • Reviewing and checking of test report printed by the data entry officer.
  • Coordinate with client for new projects and quotation preparation
  • Provide technical consultations to the customers.
  • Write periodical reports and brochures and participate in performing EIA reports.
  • Participate in the implementation of ISO 9002 system, and ISO 9001.
  • Maintain and organize department’s archive and library and ensure proper documenting of all correspondences.
  • Ensure ACES environmental, health and safety policies are implemented effectively and assure healthy working environment.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications for Green building.
  • Ensure that all ACES employees using appropriate protective tools.
  • Apply environmental tests (noise, water testing and soil testing.
  • Provide training for technicians.
  • Participate in equipment selection and recommendation for purchase.
  • Meeting with clients and suppliers.
  • Any duties or responsibilities assigned by the management.

Reporting To:

This position will directly report to the Environmental Department Manager.

Direct Reports:

Assistant Technician/ Tichnician.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or any related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience for Bachelor holders in the field of Environmental Engineering/ Environmental monitoring and consultancy.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • GSAS.
  • (Noise meter, air quality, stack emission, vibration meter)
  • QCS 2014
  • International standards (ASTM, USEPA)
  • Water Recourses and Environmental Engineering.
  • Application of Fundamentals of Environmental/ Chemistry Science
  • Application of Fundamentals of Microbiology Science
  • Proficiency in Performing Field and/ or Laboratory Testing
  • Analysis and Reporting of Results of Testing or Technical Services
  • Methods Validation & Development
  • Operation of Equipment
  • Calibration of Equipment
  • Maintenance of Equipment
  • Engineering Applications of GIS.
