Senior Estimation Engineer

Job Description – Estimation Engineer

The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender documents

for construction projects, the role involves analyzing project drawings, specifications, and

requirements to determine project costs and support the tendering and bidding process.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

- Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to understand

project requirements.

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontract

works.

- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.

- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost breakdown structures.

- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

- Analyze project scope and identify cost risks and value engineering opportunities.

- Prepare and submit tender documents, bid proposals, and cost summaries.

- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams during the tender

stage.

- Assist in preparing project budgets and cost control plans.

- Maintain an updated cost database for materials, labor, and equipment rates.

- Support contract and commercial teams during negotiations and clarifications.

- Prepare technical and commercial bid evaluations.

- Ensure all estimates comply with project specifications, standards, and client

requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related

field.

- Experience in construction cost estimation and tendering processes.

- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and market rates.

- Proficiency in Excel, estimation software, and quantity take-off tools.

- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
