Senior Estimation Engineer – ITS / Traffic Signals

We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimation Engineer to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in ITS and traffic signal projects, a solid understanding of local authority requirements, and the ability to produce accurate and competitive cost estimates for complex infrastructure works.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for ITS and traffic signal projects
• Reviewing tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications
• Performing quantity take-offs and detailed pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Estimating works related to:
• Traffic signal installations and modifications
• ITS systems (CCTV, VMS/DMS, detectors, fiber optics, communications)
• Cabinets, controllers, poles, foundations, conduit, and interconnects
• Coordinating with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotations
• Supporting bid strategy meetings, value engineering, and pricing reviews
• Identifying risks, assumptions, exclusions, and opportunities
• Ensuring compliance with Ashghal, QCS, and local authority requirements
• Supporting post-bid clarifications, negotiations, and change order pricing
• Assisting with smooth handover to project and procurement teams

What We’re Looking For in You

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 7+ years of experience in estimating ITS and/or traffic signal projects
• Proven experience working on Qatar or GCC infrastructure projects
• Strong technical knowledge of:
• Traffic signal systems and controllers
• ITS devices and communication networks
• Local construction practices and standards
• Proficiency in Excel and estimating software (Bluebeam, Candy, CostX, or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Ashghal or other Qatar authorities
• Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification
• Experience in design-build or EPC projects
• Previous site or project management experience in ITS or traffic signals
