Senior Event Planner – OCEC

Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC) is one of the country’s flagship hospitality and events infrastructure projects, designed to position Oman as a regional hub for conferences, exhibitions, and business tourism.

Job Description:

A Senior Event Planner at_ OCEC_ is responsible for end-to-end planning and delivery of large-scale events, exhibitions, conferences, and corporate functions at one of Oman’s top venues.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Delivery

Lead planning and execution of international conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, and corporate events

Develop detailed event timelines, floor plans, and operational schedules

Ensure smooth coordination from concept to post-event evaluation

Client Management

Act as the main contact for high-profile clients (government, corporate, international organizers)

Understand client requirements and translate them into event execution plans

Manage client expectations and resolve issues quickly during events

Venue & Operations Coordination

Coordinate with internal teams (AV, logistics, security, catering, technical teams)

Oversee venue setup, seating arrangements, staging, and branding

Ensure compliance with safety and venue standards

Project & Budget Management

Manage event budgets and cost control

Track vendor contracts and service delivery

Ensure events are delivered within approved budget and timelines

Team Leadership

Supervise junior event planners and coordinators

Delegate tasks and ensure team performance during live events

Stakeholder Coordination

Work closely with tourism boards, ministries, and international event organizers

Coordinate with external suppliers (decor, AV, logistics, catering)

Required Skills & Experience:

5–8+ years in event management / hospitality / exhibitions

Strong experience handling large-scale or international events

Excellent project management and multitasking skills

Strong communication and client-facing skills

Ability to work under pressure

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RO2,500.000 per month
