Role Purpose: The Senior Events Specialist is responsible mainly is to assist in designing and creating a new concept for different events as per SOW as well as supporting all event management activities and operations – including the planning, organization and implementation of events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting Event Dept in designing and creating a new concepts for event and exhibition as per each event SOW.
- Managing event Logistics and Operations
- Ensures that events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with other employees, and ensuring accuracy
- She/he is present during the event phase and hands-off to the Event Operations team for the execution of details
- Adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures
- Identifies operational challenges associated with his/her event and determines how to best work with the staff to solve these challenges\ and/or develop alternative solutions
- Uses his/her judgment to integrate current trends in event management and event design
- Participates in site inspections and assists in the process as necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs
- Coordinates and communicates event details both verbally and in writing to the relevant teams
- Responds to and handles problems and complaints
- Ability to work for long and overtime
- Ability to work during holidays and weekends if necessary
- Stays available to solve problems and/or suggest alternatives to previous arrangements
- Leads formal pre-event and post-event meetings & facilitates various meetings as he/she perceives necessary
- Maintains performance level under pressure or when experiencing changes or challenges in the workplace
- Conveys information and ideas to others in a convincing and engaging manner through a variety of methods
