Job Summary

The Senior Façade Engineer is responsible for the design, technical coordination, engineering review, and supervision of façade systems including curtain walls, aluminium cladding, ACP panels, glazing systems, louvers, and architectural metal works. The role ensures that façade designs meet structural performance, safety standards, project specifications, and client requirements while supporting fabrication and installation teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Façade Design & Engineering

• Develop and review façade system designs including curtain walls, aluminium glazing systems, ACP cladding, skylights, and louvers.
• Prepare design calculations, structural analysis, and material specifications.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and project specifications.

2. Technical Drawings & Documentation

• Review and approve shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings.
• Coordinate with the drafting/BIM team to ensure accurate façade detailing.
• Prepare method statements and technical submittals.

3. Project Coordination

• Coordinate with architects, consultants, structural engineers, and contractors.
• Provide technical support to procurement, fabrication, and site teams.
• Participate in design review meetings and technical discussions.

4. Fabrication & Installation Support

• Ensure fabricated façade elements comply with approved drawings and standards.
• Provide guidance to aluminium fabrication teams and site installation teams.
• Resolve technical issues during fabrication and installation stages.

5. Quality Control

• Conduct inspections of façade components, mock-ups, and installed systems.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.

6. Project Planning

• Support project planning teams with façade engineering schedules and technical timelines.
• Assist in cost optimization and material selection.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
• 7–12 years of experience in façade engineering or façade contracting.
• Experience in curtain wall systems, aluminium cladding, ACP panels, and glazing systems.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of façade systems and aluminium structures.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and façade design software.
• Understanding of wind load calculations, structural analysis, and façade performance requirements.
• Knowledge of international façade standards and building codes.

Soft Skills

• Strong technical problem-solving ability
• Leadership and team coordination
• Excellent communication and project management skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial towers, and luxury villas.
