Senior Finance Manager

Role Overview

As the Senior Finance Manager, you will be a strategic partner to the leadership team, overseeing all financial operations, reporting, and compliance for the organization. You will lead the finance function with a focus on high-integrity financial reporting, sophisticated management insights, and strict adherence to the evolving regulatory landscape in Pakistan. This role requires a blend of technical mastery in accounting standards and commercial acumen to drive profitability in complex sectors.

Key Responsibilities

· Financial & Management Reporting: Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS/IAS. Develop comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights into operational performance.

· Annual Financials & Audit: Manage the end-to-end annual financial closing process and serve as the primary liaison for external auditors to ensure timely completion of statutory audits.

· Regulatory Compliance (SECP): Ensure strict compliance with the Companies Act 2017 and , including timely filing of annual and quarterly accounts. Maintain awareness of updated requirements such as and .

· Taxation & Legal: Oversee corporate tax planning and compliance, ensuring accurate filing of and Sales Tax returns. Manage Super Tax obligations and handle matters with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

· Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the budgeting and forecasting cycles. Conduct variance analysis to identify cost-reduction opportunities and optimize cash flow.

· Industry-Specific Oversight:

o Agri/Trading: Manage inventory valuation, seasonal cash flow fluctuations, and commodity price risk.

o Oil & Gas: Oversee complex asset accounting, regulatory tariff filings (where applicable), and joint venture accounting.

Required Qualifications

· Education: Qualified ACMA (ICMAP), CA (ICAP), or ICAEW member.

· Experience: 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3-5 years in a senior management role.

· Preferred Industry Background: Direct experience in Agri-business, Oil & Gas, or Trading sectors.

· Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP B1, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and expert-level MS Excel skills.

· Risk Management: Expertise in identifying and mitigating financial, currency, and operational risks.
