OVERVIEW

The Senior Financial Analyst supports the Senior Vice President of Finance in managing organization-wide financial planning and budgeting, analyzing sales performance metrics, customer analytics, and financial controls. This role directly supports the executive leadership team on business growth strategies and investment decisions while partnering across all functional areas to accurately forecast PLTW’s key business metrics, revenue streams, and expense base. Occasional travel required.

Requirements:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead PLTW’s financial planning processes throughout the fiscal year, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team during month-end close to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Provide analytical support to the customer, sales, and marketing teams, including program growth forecasts, market share analysis, customer revenue insights, pipeline health monitoring, segmentation analysis, and marketing investment optimization.
  • Develop and maintain sales dashboards and performance reports, including forecasting accuracy, win/loss analysis, and pipeline movement across territories and segments.
  • Maintain robust financial and customer data systems, ensuring integrity and continuous improvement of reporting tools to drive new insights and efficiencies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop financial analysis for business development initiatives, investments, product development, pricing strategies, and grant proposals.
  • Support long-range strategic and financial planning in alignment with PLTW’s mission-driven goals, working closely with executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leadership to build and maintain quota models, territory structures, and compensation plans.
  • Analyze sales activity and track key performance metrics to identify patterns, such as pipeline velocity and conversion rates, that drive deal success and inform strategic decisions.
  • Assist with accounting operations, compliance, financial control, tax, and external audit.
  • Identify and recommend potential opportunities to incorporate innovative methods and emerging trends within area of expertise.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or a related field of study, or equivalent related experience.
