What You'll Do as a Senior Financial Analyst
  • Manage Ohio Shared Services (OSS) activities & troubleshoot any issues, questions, &/or concerns;
  • Design & run various financial reports (e.g., Aging Reports, Encumbrance Balance Reports, Spending Reports, Deposit Reports, OSS Activity Reports, Monthly Budget to Actual Reports, etc.) to support the division's needs;
  • Serve as a liaison with federal accounting systems;
  • Troubleshoot financial issues & determine appropriate action with external involvement; Collaborate with the U.S Department of Homeland Security, U.S Department of Transportation, Federal Emergency Management Agency, or U.S Department of Health & Human Services to resolve & reconcile issues with draw of funds, financial reports, deposits, etc.;
  • Update System for Award Management (SAM) information with the federal government to ensure proper account set-up & reconcile vendor account issues;

Qualifications

OPTION 1:
42 mos. exp. or 42 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.

OPTION 2:
  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field;
AND 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.
OPTION 3:
  • Or completion of graduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field;
AND 6 mos. exp. or 6 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.
OPTION 4:
  • Or 12 mos. exp. as Financial Analyst, 66562.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
