Senior Financial Analyst

General Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst partners with finance and business leadership to deliver data-driven insights that support informed decision-making and drive strategic initiatives. This position is highly analytical and hands-on, requiring demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, complex data analysis, and robust reporting. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments and has experience leveraging advanced technical tools in Manufacturing, SaaS, or job costing settings.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Modeling & Analysis

  • Build, enhance, and maintain sophisticated financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Evaluate financial and operational results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for efficiency or improvement.
  • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Management Reporting & Data Visualization

  • Develop, automate, and distribute recurring and ad hoc management reports, dashboards, and KPI packages utilizing advanced Excel and Business Intelligence (BI) tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, or comparable platforms).
  • Support key processes, including the monthly close, management reviews, and board-level reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Systems & Data Integrity

  • Maximize the value of integrated ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft D365, or similar), ensuring reliable data flows for reporting and analysis.
  • Conduct data validation and reconciliation across multiple sources, driving continuous improvement of data integrity and reporting standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a subject matter expert and liaison between finance, operations, IT, and executive teams to align on financial and operational objectives.
  • Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance reporting capabilities and operational transparency.

Business Partnership

  • Deliver clear, concise presentations and visualizations to both financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Support strategic projects, M&A due diligence, pricing studies, or cost analyses as required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of financial analysis experience, preferably in manufacturing, SaaS, technology, or job costing environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, financial models, pivot tables, automation; Power Query and/or VBA a plus).
  • Demonstrated experience with modern BI/reporting platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Strong working knowledge of major ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft D365) and data structures.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities; high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex topics to diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable working with large, incomplete, or imperfect data sets; able to drive data standardization and reporting efficiency.

Preferred

  • Experience with SQL, data warehousing, or workflow automation tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI or machine learning tools for data analysis is beneficial but not required.
