Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support the financial planning, reporting, and analysis functions. This role is responsible for delivering financial insights, streamlining budgeting and forecasting processes, and supporting our operational partners with their day-to-day activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders across various departments and business segments. This position will work hand in hand with the FP&A team and the Senior Director of Finance. This is an on-site position in Montebello, CA with potential of a hybrid schedule.

Salary range: $105k-$115k DOE

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Analysis
    • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets for operations
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses
    • Analyze key operational drivers including census, payer mix, labor costs, and reimbursement trends
  • Reporting & Data Analysis
    • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and decision support for operations and finance leadership
    • Keen eye on detail – ability to spot errors and provide suggestions on improving quality and efficiency
    • Ability to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and audit functions
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting and forecasting processes
    • Implement data-driven tools and automation where possible
    • Maintain excel models that serve as the primary source of facility-level financial projections
    • Flexibility to support any other responsibilities deemed necessary by FP&A leadership

Qualifications

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Experience
    • 5-8+ years of FP&A or financial analysis experience
    • Experience supporting multi-facility operations
    • Healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Technical Skills
    • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
    • Experience with financial reporting systems and ERP platforms
    • Strong data analysis and dashboarding capabilities (Power BI, Tableau, or similar preferred)
    • Experience with healthcare data systems preferred
  • Key Competencies
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
