Senior Fire & Safety Solutions Consultant / Sales Engineer

Job Purpose

You will drive and manage the entire sales lifecycle — from lead generation and technical consultation through contract finalisation and project hand-over — for the upgrade and modernisation of fire-fighting equipment in high-security, critical infrastructure facilities in Abu Dhabi. All proposals and execution plans must adhere strictly to local and international standards relevant to the oil & gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve and exceed business development targets for specialised fire-fighting equipment upgrades (pumps, suppression systems, fire alarms, hydrants).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, engineering consultants and procurement teams among clients, bidders and contractors.
  • Lead the preparation, presentation and negotiation of technical and commercial proposals aligned with client requirements and budget frameworks.

Technical Consultation & Compliance

  • Conduct detailed site surveys and needs assessments to identify upgrade requirements based on asset condition, operational risk and compliance gaps.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison, working with clients and internal engineering teams to design and propose NFPA/UAE Fire Code-compliant and commercially viable fire-safety upgrade solutions.
  • Navigate the protocols and restrictions of working within oil & gas/power critical infrastructure zones in Abu Dhabi.

Documentation & Project Handoff

  • Develop technical specifications, scope-of-work documents, Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and compliance matrices for upgrade projects.
  • Prepare and manage the full set of bidding documentation required for procurement and contractor engagement.
  • Ensure seamless transition from sales to project execution by delivering comprehensive contract documents, technical background and client-communication records.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Fire-Safety Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in technical sales, consulting or project management within the fire-safety industry in the UAE/GCC.
  • Demonstrated experience servicing oil & gas, petrochemical or critical-infrastructure clients.
  • Expert-level knowledge of fire-fighting systems (water spray, foam, gaseous suppression, hydrant/sprinkler systems) and relevant international (NFPA) and UAE fire-safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills in English; strong competency in documentation and reporting using MS Office/CRM tools.
  • Valid UAE driving licence.
  • NFPA certifications (e.g., CFPS) or equivalent specialist training are highly preferred.
