Job Description:

We’re one of the world’s largest providers of transportation and logistics services. Our customers range from small and mid-sized companies up to global enterprises. Our Global Logistics and Distribution business unit provides comprehensive logistics services and warehousing solutions utilizing a global network of distribution centers, innovative technology and supply chain expertise to manage the flow of goods from receiving to storage and order processing to shipment.

This position supports the movement and growth opportunities for inbound and outbound cargo for freight forwarding customers. Ensures that freight is processed in compliance with governmental regulations (e.g., Federal Aviation Administration, Transportation Security Administration, etc.). Collaborates with vendors, customers, commercial airline carriers, ocean freightliners, and other internal support groups for the movement of international and domestic air and ocean shipments.
Supervise and coordinate activities of union employees engaged in freight handling, shipping, receiving, documentation, and warehouse functions.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree - Preferred

  • Management experience - Required

  • Plan labor and equipment need, based on daily volume and work schedules.

  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), company policies, and applicable labor laws.

  • Address performance issues, grievances, and discipline procedures in accordance with the union contract and in coordination with Human Resources and Labor Relations.

  • Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety protocols and procedures.

  • Monitor productivity, accuracy, and compliance to ensure service level goals are met.

  • Maintain daily reports, performance metrics, and documentation for operations and labor tracking.

  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., customer service, customs, dispatch) to resolve issues and ensure timely cargo movement.

  • Recommend process improvements and assist in the implementation of new operational procedures or technologies.

Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself - Required

Shift: Monday - Friday 3pm - 11:30pm

Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,160.00/year to $120,480.00/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
