Job Description – Software Developer

Responsibilities

Design and implement new features with minimal supervision

Lead technical initiatives within sprint work

Refactor and modernize legacy codebases

Mentor junior developers through code reviews and pair programming

Participate in architectural discussions and technical planning

Debug complex production issues across multiple systems

Write comprehensive unit and integration tests

Optimize database queries and overall application performance

Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements

Evaluate and implement new technologies and frameworks

Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality, velocity, and maintainability

Design and integrate AI-enabled features such as intelligent search, automation, recommendations, or copilots

Collaborate on responsible AI usage, including validation, security, and performance considerations

Required Qualifications

4+ years of professional software development experience

Strong proficiency in C#, TypeScript, or JavaScript

Experience with modern web frameworks (Angular, React, or similar)

Solid understanding of database design and SQL

Experience with RESTful API design and implementation

Proficiency with Git and modern version control workflows

Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Comfort using AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, code analysis or testing assistants)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

Knowledge of microservices architecture

Experience with PowerBuilder or legacy system modernization

Understanding of dealer management systems or the automotive industry

DevOps experience (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience with test automation frameworks (Cypress, Selenium)

Experience integrating AI services or APIs (e.g., LLMs, OCR, recommendation engines, workflow automation)

Familiarity with prompt engineering, model evaluation, or AI-driven feature experimentation

Technical Expectations

Accurately estimate work and deliver on commitments

Write clean, self-documenting code with appropriate comments

Understand performance, scalability, and security implications of design decisions

Contribute to technical and architectural documentation

Identify and proactively address technical debt

Stay current with technology trends, best practices, and advances in AI-assisted software development

Apply AI responsibly, ensuring correctness, explainability, and maintainability of AI-driven features
