Senior Full Stack Java Developer

Job Description

This role is a Full Stack Software Engineer requiring expertise with Java. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications and services. Your role will involve working on both the server-side and client-side of our applications, ensuring seamless and responsive user experience. In this role, you will be welcomed by our development team who is responsible for building and maintaining core services, including internal dashboards, public APIs, and applications responsible for sending millions of messages a month.

WHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOU BRING:

· A Java expert developer with 5+ years of experience in Java development, including building web applications, databases, and RESTful APIs (Spring). Experience with Angular (Typescript) is strongly preferred.

· A writer of high-quality code using established patterns and best practices

· Comfortable building internal and public facing REST APIs with strong performance and problem-solving skills

· Experienced with Agile practices/Scrum environment and CI/CD, shaping efficiency, quality, and process improvements

· Familiarity with source control, branching, merging, and release cycles, preferably using Git-based CI/CD

· Unit testing experience

· Containerization (Docker) experience (optional)

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent degree / work experience or comparable experience

· Experience with messaging brokers like RabbitMQ

· Experience building micro-services

· Proficient with front-end JavaScript frameworks such Angular and AngularJS

· Experience with large scale MySQL and NoSQL (MongoDB)

· On premise/self-hosted servers experience

Knowledgeable with Jira
