We’re seeking a senior-level Google Ads Strategist with a deep analytical focus to architect campaign strategy and drive complex optimization. This role is for the analytical mastermind who excels at diagnosis, planning, and maximizing ROI. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience managing campaigns for service-based businesses (e.g., legal, healthcare, home services, SaaS, consulting).
Role Overview
The Senior Google Ads Strategist & Analyst will be the strategic lead for our clients' paid search and performance campaigns, with a focus on high-value, service-industry verticals. You will be responsible for high-level account architecture, in-depth auditing, complex data analysis, and crafting the roadmap for campaign success. A key part of this role involves quality assurance—you will be expected to review and double-check work implemented by the team to ensure strategic alignment and flawless execution. While strategic, this is a hands-on position; you will also be directly involved in implementing complex setups and high-stakes optimizations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive Google Ads account audits to diagnose issues, uncover hidden opportunities, and build strategic quarterly plans.
  • Develop and own the overarching strategy for campaign structure, targeting approach, and testing roadmaps, with a keen understanding of service-industry conversion funnels.
  • Perform deep-dive data analysis across Google Ads, GA4, and CRM data to identify trends, forecast performance, and prove ROI for lead-generation and high-CPA accounts.
  • Define sophisticated bidding strategies, budget allocation models, and audience segmentation tailored to service-industry buying cycles.
  • Review and audit work implemented by team members to ensure accuracy, strategic alignment, and best practices.
  • Lead by example through hands-on implementation of complex account structures, conversion tracking, and high-priority optimization tasks.
  • Create and present detailed performance reports and strategic recommendations to clients and internal teams.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, Google Ads updates, and beta programs to advise on adoption.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of proven, hands-on experience strategically managing Google Ads accounts with monthly budgets of $20k+.
  • A proven track record is mandatory. You must present case studies or data demonstrating significant improvement in KPIs (ROAS, CPA, CPL, etc.) for past clients.
  • Strong preference for candidates with extensive experience in service-industry verticals (e.g., Legal, Home Services, Healthcare, B2B/SaaS, Financial Services, Education).
  • Expert-level proficiency in Google Ads, Google Analytics (GA4), and Google Tag Manager.
  • Mastery in analytics and data interpretation; must be able to tell a story with data and attribute marketing efforts to business outcomes.
  • Exceptional experience in conducting in-depth account audits and building strategic plans from them.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills, capable of presenting complex strategies clearly to stakeholders.
  • Agency experience managing a portfolio of 10+ accounts across different industries is required.

Nice to Have

  • Google Ads Certification(s).
  • Experience with SQL or data visualization tools (Looker Studio, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of other platforms (Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads) for cross-channel insights.
