BASIC PURPOSE:
Responsible for the creation of a wide variety of visual assets in all media including print, digital, video, interactive, and social media. Serve as brand steward building the brand platform, look & feel, through all projects. Coordinate and communicate effectively with business owners, marketing reps, the creative director, writers, and production artists to ensure that the visual design successfully delivers on the desired message and business objective.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop extremely high quality and sophisticated creative concepts for print, digital, and interactive media, including simple motion graphics, animated GIFs, emails, microsites, and other brand collateral that reflect strategy and are compliant with and build Norwegian's brand.

Develop video concepts and storyboards, and supervise all aspects of photo and video shoots including photographer/director selection, casting, shot selection, scheduling, and art direction.

Responsible for the delivery of a wide variety of projects on time and within given budgets.

Create high-quality collateral pieces from New Ship Inaugurals materials to Fleet and Destination brochures that can range from single pages up to 140 pages.

Collaborate with Copywriters and Creative Manager to ensure all work consistently meets creative brand standards.

Provide senior level expert creative direction for development of assets with external vendors and partners including illustrators, photographers, and digital agencies.

Work autonomously on strategic issues with clients and can manage a variety of projects ranging from small pieces to complex multichannel campaigns.

Successfully manage a large workload while bringing fresh direction and insight for a large variety of projects.

Supervise, train, and coach junior designers, production artists, and external vendors to ensure work meets the highest creative standards.

Deliver internal presentations to senior management.

Ensure and oversee creative execution of the highest quality, ensuring that all projects are released error-free to vendors and meet the highest possible production standards.

Adhere to creative department policies and procedures for quality control and work quality.

Serve as a Brand Steward assisting the creative department to adhere to and develop brand positioning.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design and/or Advertising preferably from a Design/Fine Art Institution or equivalent experience required.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a corporate or agency creative department required, with a mix of print and digital projects. Cruise or travel industry experience a plus. Global advertising agency experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Must have strong graphic design skills.

Capable of leading and executing all creative aspects of a project as needed and have demonstrated an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and have a strong business acumen.

Detail oriented with the ability to prepare files that are printer ready and meet exacting production standards.

Strong conceptual skills, including creative design solutions within the constraints of digital media channels and print.

Exceptional client interaction skills exhibited in past job experience.

Fluency in current graphic and web design best practices and design production software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, with knowledge of modern collaborative design tools such as Figma a plus.

Ability to create superior, original designs for print and digital media; high-quality printer-ready files.
