Senior Health and Safety Consultant

Overview

Our client is looking for a Senior Consultant to lead project delivery and holding the responsibility for the overall successful execution and completion of their designated project(s).

Working to ensure that the very highest technical standards are maintained. And that our clients enjoy project delivery excellence.

The Senior Consultant will further be responsible for working alongside the General Manager to develop and deliver high-quality, competitive commercial proposals and bid submissions. Presenting cost-effective solutions that align with the clients’ requirements.

In addition to visiting client project sites, the role will be primarily hybrid working from home.


Duties and Responsibilities

• Create and develop to the highest standard, health and safety documentation and technical reports including the creation of HSE management systems, gap analysis, legal compliance reviews and action plans, audits and assessments, workplans etc.

• Deliver expert advice on local and international HSE regulations (e.g. Federal level laws, ADOSH, OSHJ, Dubai mainland etc.)

• Impart specialist knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.

• Conduct regular client meetings, progress reviews, and reporting.

• Ensure all projects comply with relevant safety, quality, and legal standards.

• Create technical governance frameworks, KPI’s, set targets and objectives.

• Alongside the General Manager, serve as the primary point of contact for key clients.

• Understand client needs and tailor solutions accordingly.

• Support business development through providing technical input and attending meetings on proposals, bids, and presentations.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff and all other on site resources

• Assertive personality able to work well with large numbers of people

• Must be exceptionally detail oriented and able to prepare and evaluate documents/reports to an extremely high standard

• Understanding that deadlines are mandatory

• Possession of native level English writing and verbal skills is mandatory


Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in Health and Safety gained primarily within the GCC, in particular, within the Abu Dhabi Emirate

• Proven significant health and safety Consultancy experience

• Extensive experience in designing health and safety management systems and safety training solutions is essential

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree

• NEBOSH Diploma (completed and certificate available)

• CMIOSH or similar professional competency certification

• ISO 45001/ ISO 14001/ ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certificates
