Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY
The Senior HR Generalist implements staffing strategies and processes to attract qualified candidates using successful recruiting channels. This position monitors large scale and complex staffing concerns and provides oversight on issues with potential risks and unfavorable trends. This position implements initiatives and provides consultative expertise and tactical support to all stakeholders, including business units, business partners, hiring managers, etc. This position collaborates with managers to develop strategies for current and future business needs utilizing research and data analysis. This position supervises others.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages and ensure compliance with all aspects of hiring
  • Develops and maintains Workforce Development pipeline programs to assist with recruiting and retention of employees
  • Oversees internal and external recruiting efforts for all positions within scope
  • Evaluates strategy adjustments as needed for critical positions and works with the Center of Excellence on solutions
  • Develops sponsorships and partnerships with strategic vendors and schools
  • Performs market analysis and research to develop business justifications for compensation adjustments to ensure we stay competitive with the market
  • Manages daily dispatch of recruiters
  • Maintains strategic partnerships with education partners to assist with recruiting and hiring strategies
  • Provides issue escalation and supports resolution
  • Supports external business partners (BPO)
  • Provides talent advising on processes, procedures, and systems
  • Works with team to develop and recommend creative hiring strategies and builds business cases for action
  • Performs employee supervisory tasks such as performance management and career development
  • Leads requisition recalibrations and escalations to ensure proper alignment for successful staffing efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Must be located in the same geographical area as the job or be willing to self-relocate to the area

  • Must be willing and available to report to a local office on a daily basis

  • Must have a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) or be a current UPS employee with a minimum of three years of UPS experience

  • Must be willing and available to travel as necessary

  • Must be willing and available to work flexible shifts as business needs dictate

  • Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office Products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferred

  • Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrates proficiency in Workday

  • Possesses experience using Fountain

  • Prior relevant HR generalist experience

Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,160.00/year to $120,480.00/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
