Job Summary:
The Sr. Human Resources Generalist will direct and develop the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including recruiting, employee relations, compliance, performance management, benefit administration and enforcing company policies and best practices while ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provide support and guidance to HR team, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodation, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Support performance management processes, including performance reviews, goal setting, and employee development plans. Assist in developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with organizational goals. Conduct training in HR-related topics, including compliance, diversity and inclusion, and leadership development.
- Process and Manage employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, compliance, and communication to ensure employees receive the benefits they are entitled to.
- Collaborate with Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation biweekly.
- Manage external HR-related audits (Work Comp, 401k) and oversee workers compensation cases, including maintaining quarterly and annual OSHA 300A reports.
- Submit annual reports such as FIETC, EEO and IRS Form 1095C.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws, regulations and recommended best practices.
- Perform special projects designed to improve, enhance, and evolve the organization
- Act as a key point of contact for employee relations, resolving conflicts and ensuring a positive workplace culture.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree - Human Resources preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of HR experience in a Generalist capacity
- PHR Certification preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to appropriately plan and execute tasks as well as other activities of the department.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
