Position: Senior Human Resources Specialist
Schedule: Full-time and consultant positions available
Locations: Indianapolis, Minneapolis, and DC

About Avani Services:
Avani is a growing company focused on providing HR support services, custom training, digital transformation, and professional support services for mission-driven public and private sector clients. We are looking to expand our team with this role in support of a government client.

The Role:
Avani is hiring a Senior HR Specialist with deep expertise in federal retirement and employee benefits. This individual will provide counseling, process complex cases, and support employees through significant HR and benefits milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance on retirement, health insurance, life insurance, and related benefits

• Prepare pension/annuity estimates and process retirement applications

• Research and resolve complex HR/benefits questions

• Support outreach activities, including webinars and employee briefings

• Draft clear, accurate responses to employee and stakeholder inquiries

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field

• 5–10 years of HR experience, with strong knowledge of federal benefits programs

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Due to contractual requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration. Employment is contingent upon the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS background investigation/security clearance.
