Senior IBM Integration Developer

The Senior IBM Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying robust integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and App Connect on Cloud. The role involves building message flows, connecting APIs, applications, and data across cloud and on-premises systems, while ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability. Working closely with architects, analysts, and development teams, the developer will translate business requirements into secure and optimized integration solutions. The position also includes monitoring, troubleshooting, documenting technical designs, and staying up to date with IBM integration technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) or IBM App Connect on Cloud.

• Build and manage flows to connect APIs, applications, and data across cloud and on-premise systems.

• Develop message flows, mapping, and transformation logic using ESQL, Java, or other supported technologies.

• Integrate with various systems including databases, REST/SOAP web services, IBM MQ, SAP, and cloud-based platforms.

• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and development teams to gather integration requirements. • Perform unit testing, system testing, and support UAT for integration solutions.

• Optimize performance of integration services and ensure high availability and scalability.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production and non-production environments.

• Document technical designs, flow diagrams, and integration configuration settings.

• Stay current with IBM integration technologies and recommend best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.

• 5+ years of experience in integration development using IBM App Connect (Enterprise and/or Cloud).

• Proficient in Java, ESQL, and message transformation techniques (XML, JSON, XSLT).

• Strong experience integrating with RESTful and SOAP web services, databases, IBM MQ, JMS, and cloud services.

• Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns and microservices architecture.

• Experience working with API Connect, DataPower, or similar IBM middleware tools is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex integration issues.

• Familiar with DevOps practices, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD for integration deployments. • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
