Senior Infection Control Nurse

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infection Control Officer (Nurse) with 5+ years of experience, preferably from a corporate hospital setup. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving infection prevention and control practices in accordance with NABH standards, ensuring patient and staff safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor infection control policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with NABH infection control guidelines
• Conduct infection surveillance and audits
• Monitor hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) and report findings
• Train and educate hospital staff on infection prevention practices
• Ensure proper biomedical waste management
• Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective actions
• Coordinate with clinical, nursing, and support departments
• Maintain documentation and reports for NABH audits

Requirements:

• GNM / B.Sc Nursing qualification
• 5+ years of experience as Infection Control Nurse/Officer
• Experience in corporate hospital environment
• Strong knowledge of NABH standards
• Certification in Infection Control (preferred)
• Good communication and training skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical ability
