Senior Interior Designer

Responsibilities

· Develop and design projects through completion with minimal review and supervision

· Prepare and coordinate the design team if applicable

· Conceptualize and create design ideas through 3D visualization, mood boards, and hand-sketching

· Develop space plans, project budget, schedule, and programming documentation

· Selections and specifications of finish materials and furniture

· Create and manage time and materials budgets for projects

· Track time using Studio Designer software

· Prepare design and construction documents to generate detailed design solutions

· Communicate with clients, contractors, and consultants

· Lead project meetings & client presentations

· Organize and prioritize projects and assist with organizing team members, tasks, and meetings

· Administer contract documents, bids & negotiations including construction administration

· Review shop drawings and submittals

· Mentoring and management of junior and intermediate designers

· Knowledge of building codes and building systems

· 3 – 5 years minimum experience

Additional Qualifications

· Commercial and residential interior design experience preferred

· Experience with 2020 or cabinet design software preferred

· Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills

· Run design project on time and within budget

· Strong knowledge of the design process including specification of materials, FF&E, and project management

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint, Asana, Slack, and Microsoft Office

· Desire and ability to work in a creative, service-oriented environment and prioritize while performing multiple projects simultaneously

· Resilient in coping with client demands and able to prioritize duties and work effectively

· Team-oriented

· Must be able to work independently with little supervision

Education

· Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design

· NCIDQ preferred, but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $56,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
