Requirements


The Role: Senior Interior designer

This role is suited to a dynamic designer who enjoys being exposed to the full design process. You would be joining a small team and working at pace on creative international restaurant and bar projects from start to finish. Ideas and input will be expected and welcomed. With numerous exciting projects extending across the hospitality sector, this is a brilliant opportunity to join a blossoming team where you will be very hands on. This would suit a self-motivated team player with a positive, communicative, and collaborative approach who is always looking to develop their skills. Responsibilities:

  • Leading multiple F&B projects in the UK and abroad and be a ‘design expert’ within the team
  • Upholding the highest standards in project delivery and adhering to established processes, frameworks and reviews across the studio
  • Identifying what success, quality and design integrity looks like on projects and implementing action plans to improve or maintain these
  • Being considerate of the timeframes and deliverables of all interiors projects
  • Sometimes assisting with fee proposals and budgeting to allow maximum quality to always be delivered and have a commercial mindset to mind efficiency across the projects
  • Mentor and train junior designers and midweight designers. Check they are all fully engaged on projects and provide support and training where needed.
  • Motivate the team and inspire a creative and collaborative culture to create soulful spaces that really connect with people through attention to detail
  • Developing strong concepts that have clear core ideas and rationale
  • Developing narratives and storytelling moments that engage people
  • Creating palettes and sourcing materials for design projects.
  • Creating layouts and spatial design that focus on the guest experience
  • Developing joinery details that suit the project needs or developing highly detailed FF&E, art and accessories specifications
  • Reviewing detailed drawing packages and Finishes and FF&E Specifications, complete with technical requirements
  • Sharing technical skills and firsthand experience in design and project execution with the team
  • Inviting suppliers and consultant to present to the team to build knowledge on materials
  • Oversee project budgets
  • On-site meetings and virtual meetings.
  • Liaising with consultants and contractors
  • Reporting into Design Director on projects
  • Often required to take a Project Lead role
  • Generate new business leads and promote the company at industry events

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years varied and detailed experience working on restaurant, hospitality and/or retail projects or production/set design.
  • Confident in designing and running their own projects under direction of the senior members of the team
  • An all-round designer who has experience of working on projects from concept to completion
  • Creativity, flair and passion for great quality interior design
  • Able to share your passion for design and motivate others
  • Organised and efficient and used to working to deadlines
  • Excellent presentation skills and interpersonal skills
  • Autonomous and self motivated
  • Highly professional and pro-active to find solutions to challenges that arise.
  • Highly collaborative and adaptable, keen to work as part of a team.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to create detailed drawing packages
  • Experience producing detailed FF&E specification with costings, materials, finishes and schedules
  • Must be proficient in Autocad, Photoshop and SketchUp
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications and producing client presentations
  • Professional Degree from an accredited university

The successful candidates will be attached to our 6th October Office, Cairo from May 2026 onwards for 3 days per week because we work remotely some of the time in a hybrid model.
