Senior IP Solution Architect

As part of our Networks team we are looking for candidate who will be responsible for designing and delivering the best practice solution in Microwave based technologies for Vodafone Oman Network, He/she will work closely with RAN team to design therequired backhaul for all RAN sites.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Define the short & long-term strategic plan for IP transit & international capacity in coordination with our wholesale.
• Working as IP Solution Architect for the IP RAN network as well the MPBN network.
• Design and manage the development of the mobile backhaul network to support the delivery of current and future services for both technology IP and the Microwave. Apply stringent design techniques for capacity dimensioning on Backhaul networks.
• Provide backhaul solutions and coordination for survey, Plan, Design and issuance of Work orders for IP network ,DWDM and the MW Links to connect New Site, relocation of existing sites to the backend Network, ensuring the desired implementation is executed.
• Design and manage the development of an end-to-end IP network which is secure, flexible and extensible to support the delivery of both current and future services.
• Manage/ Implement MPLS NNI with local and global MPLS provider to enhance Vodafone footprint,
• Ensuring cost-effective design solutions for the IP RAN network expansion
• Managing or providing technical input in assigned projects and delivering the required project outputs or technical support
• B2B service design and coordinate with Enterprise and operation team for service implementation
• Creating, maintaining and implementing design guidelines and standards
• Accomplish delivery of projects in a timely manner and follow up on progress of activities
• Maintain planning documentation and keep information current on relevant documents and Engineering Tools. Maintain updated diagrams for the Backhaul and Backbone networks of relevance.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• 6-8 years of experience in Telecommunications industry, specifically in the design, management or procurement of all technologies related to the Transmission network
• Very Strong knowledge on the IP/MPLS network technologies
• Very Strong knowledge on the IGW services and network technologies
• knowledge/experience in Design and Project delivery of the Mobile Backhaul technologies MW,DWDM and MPLS technologies
• Strong knowledge in Ericsson & Huawei IP product including Firewall.
• Strong Knowledge on the SD-WAN, IPv4/IPv6 technologies (MPLS, IGP/EGPprotocols)

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Telecommunications industry
