Senior IT Application Administrator

Position Summary:

The Senior IT Application Administrator is responsible for the end-to-end management, configuration, and support of ERP modules related to Sales & Distribution (SD) and Merchandising. This role ensures the seamless operation of business-critical applications, supports cross-functional teams, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and business process alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 ERP Application Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all SD and Merchandising module-related issues and enhancements.
  • Configure and maintain master data, pricing structures, customer hierarchies, and merchandising attributes.
  • Ensure system availability, performance, and data integrity across all supported modules.

🔹 Business Process Optimization

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to align ERP functionality with operational needs.
  • Analyze and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Lead the implementation of new features, process improvements, and system upgrades.

🔹 Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide Level 2/3 support for end users, resolving incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Monitor system logs and performance metrics to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams for escalated support and patch management.

🔹 Project Leadership

  • Lead or support ERP-related projects, including rollout of merchandising tools, mobile sales apps, and integration with third-party platforms.
  • Conduct UAT, training sessions, and prepare user manuals and SOPs.

🔹 Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, data governance, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, workflows, and change logs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ERP application administration, with a focus on Sales & Distribution and Merchandising modules.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP SD or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Experience with merchandising tools, planogram management, and retail execution platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with mobile sales force automation and merchandising apps.
  • Experience in FMCG or retail distribution environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
