Senior Landscape Architect

EGEC Qatar is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Landscape Architect to join its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) division. The successful candidate will lead the planning, development, coordination, and execution of landscape architecture works across major projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, international standards, sustainability principles, and stakeholder expectations.

The role requires strong technical expertise, design management capabilities, and extensive experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams throughout all project stages, from concept development through construction and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of landscape design strategies, pre-concept studies, master planning initiatives, and detailed landscape designs across all project phases.
• Manage and review consultant and contractor deliverables, including design drawings, RFIs, technical submissions, material submittals, shop drawings, progress reports, and payment applications.
• Ensure full coordination and integration of landscape works with architectural, civil, structural, infrastructure, and MEP disciplines.
• Monitor the performance of landscape consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with approved designs, quality standards, project schedules, budgets, and contractual obligations.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on landscape design development, construction methodologies, sustainability standards, irrigation systems, hardscape/softscape specifications, and value engineering initiatives.
• Oversee site implementation activities and installation supervision to ensure execution is aligned with approved specifications, environmental standards, and project objectives.
• Participate in technical reviews, coordination meetings, design workshops, and project progress evaluations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Review, endorse, and approve completion documentation, as-built drawings, testing and commissioning records, and handover certificates related to landscape works.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in landscape architecture, design management, and PMC/construction projects.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale mixed-use, hospitality, commercial, public realm, infrastructure, or masterplan developments.
• Strong knowledge of landscape design principles, urban design coordination, irrigation systems, sustainability standards, and construction practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary coordination and consultant/contractor performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and technical reporting skills.
• Proficiency in industry-standard landscape and design software.

Preferred Qualifications

• GCC experience within major PMC or multidisciplinary consultancy environments is highly preferred.
• Experience working with international consultants, developers, and contractors.
• Professional certifications and memberships are considered an advantage.
