Senior Legal Counsel

Role Overview

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to manage a range of legal and contractual matters during a short-term engagement. The role requires hands-on experience in litigation, case handling, and contract management, with the ability to prepare, review, and represent the organization across ongoing proceedings and legal obligations. The ideal candidate brings a solid understanding of corporate and financial regulations, sound judgment, and the ability to work under limited supervision within a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the organization in legal proceedings, hearings, and dispute-related matters, preparing case files, statements, and supporting documentation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and protection of company interests.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of litigation and legal cases, from initial filing and evidence preparation to follow-up and resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making.
  • Maintain comprehensive case records and documentation, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, compliance issues, and contractual implications related to operations and transactions.
  • Review internal policies and procedures to ensure alignment with applicable laws and industry regulations.
  • Prepare legal opinions, briefs, and reports for management as required.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law; Master’s degree or relevant bar qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in litigation, dispute resolution, and contracts management.
  • Proven experience in case handling and court representation within the UAE.
  • Prior exposure to the financial services or banking sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and interpretation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results under tight deadlines.


Contract Details

  • Duration: 3 months (extendable based on requirements).
  • Availability: Immediate or short notice preferred.
