A leading regional investment and asset management group is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its Dubai office. The company manages a diversified portfolio of real estate and investment assets across the GCC and internationally, with a focus on sustainable growth, governance, and long-term value creation.


This newly created position will play a key role in supporting the Head of Legal and the wider executive team on all legal and governance matters. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor across the business, providing commercial legal guidance and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and governance frameworks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal support across corporate, commercial, and real estate matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including joint ventures, development agreements, investment transactions, leases, and service contracts.
  • Advise on corporate structuring, M&A, capital markets, and regulatory compliance issues across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support governance requirements for listed and private entities, ensuring adherence to local and international standards.
  • Manage external counsel and coordinate cross-border legal advice where required.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks.
  • Support board and shareholder matters including resolutions, filings, and corporate secretarial activities.


Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law from a recognised institution; qualified lawyer (UK, Australia, or equivalent common law jurisdiction preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally combining top-tier private practice and in-house experience within investment, asset management, or real estate sectors.
  • Proven ability to advise senior executives and boards on complex legal and governance issues.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and cross-cultural communication ability.
  • Experience in listed company governance, capital markets, or fund structures is highly advantageous.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Dubai.
