Overview

We are seeking a talented senior lawyer to join the G42 group level in house team. This broad in house generalist role focuses on conventional and Islamic financings, while also providing legal support across a wide range of strategic commercial, corporate and international matters. You will work closely with senior leadership, gain deep exposure to transformative projects and actively shape the legal foundations of a rapidly expanding global technology group.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end to end process of both conventional and Islamic financings, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating facility agreements and associated documents, and advising internal stakeholders on financing structures and regulatory considerations.
• Support the group's expansion into new jurisdictions, including conducting legal risk assessments in emerging markets, advising on local regulatory and compliance requirements, corporate structuring and cross border contracting, and drafting and negotiating associated commercial/franchise agreements.
• Support on a range of commercial projects, such as strategic partnership agreements, master services agreements, and data related and digital infrastructure contracts.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand and cater to the group's general legal needs.
• Conduct research to provide sound legal advice on a broad range of advisory matters.
• Promote legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the group.
• Provide support in relation to corporate governance matters and company secretarial duties.

In this role, you will report directly to a G42 Legal Director. This represents an excellent opportunity to play a critical role in facilitating G42's business needs and to navigate and shape your career path while being part of a dynamic, high performing and collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction (preference for England & Wales) with strong academic credentials.
• Minimum of 6 years in private practice within a reputable international law firm, consisting of at least 2 years of training and 4+ years post qualification experience.
• In house experience - particularly within a multinational, high growth or technology environment - is strongly preferred.
• Solid grounding in finance and banking law, including both conventional and Islamic financing. Experience in project finance or debt capital markets will also be considered.
• Demonstrated experience handling complex commercial and technology transactions.
• Strong knowledge of English, UAE and ADGM law and legal frameworks.
• Excellent communication and drafting skills in the English language, with the ability to work collaboratively across multi disciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic, fast paced environment and support junior team members where required.
